Sessions helps you find the individual network connections responsible for significant or unusual traffic.
While a traffic chart can show that your network is busy, Sessions helps answer the next question: which connections are responsible for that activity?
You can use it to quickly find:
- Connections transferring the most data
- Large data transfers out of your network
- Large data transfers into your network
- Connections that have remained active for a long time
- TCP connections transferring significant amounts of actual data
Use Sessions when you need to move from seeing that something is happening to identifying the specific connections involved.
